Frequently Asked Questions
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by May 18th, 2026. You can update the bride or groom with your flight and accommodation details if those are booked after the RSVP deadline.
What will the weather be like?
Mid-September in the Douro Valley is warm, sunny, and absolutely perfect for our beautiful wedding. Expect daytime temperatures around 25–27 °C (77–81 °F) bright, dry, and comfortable for vibrant celebrations under the sun. Evenings cool down to 13–15 °C (55–59 °F), bringing a light breeze across the valley, so guests may want a shawl or jacket once the dancing starts.
All events will be held outdoors across the vineyards and gardens, so think flowy, breathable fabrics for the day and light layers for the night. Rain is rare this time of year, but the valley can see the occasional passing cloud. Overall, it’s beautiful late-summer weather with golden light and clear skies, ideal for celebrating under the stars.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
You are free to wear whatever you would like!
Both western and traditional attire is okay. We just want our guests to look good and feel good. We have attached some examples of outfits we have worn to past events on the events tab if you need an idea of what to wear.
Traditionally some events have themes to them.
Day 1: Mendhi, is usually a very colorful event.
Day 2: Pithi, traditionally guests wear yellow.
Day 3: Wedding ceremony & reception, is up to you! The dress code is formal. Glam it up.
If you need help sourcing traditional clothes, we have attached a few links in the FAQ below.

Uber and taxis also work in the area if all else fails.
